Dedicated carrier capacity
How it runs
Dedicated movement for pharma, critical components, hazmat, and high-value freight.
Shipment profile, handling requirements, equipment, credentials, securement, and the delivery commitment are confirmed before acceptance. One dedicated vehicle limits touches and keeps responsibility clear through POD.
High-value and pharma freight is a chain-of-custody problem, and the dedicated model is the answer to it. One TSA + TWIC credentialed operator takes the freight at the ORD dock — including vault-held shipments at facilities like United Cargo’s Building 630 — and the same operator hands it to the consignee. No cross-dock, no unrelated freight beside it, securement matched to the shipment profile, and a position report every 15 minutes that gives the forwarder a defensible record of where the shipment was at every point in between.
For line-down and production-recovery freight, the math is different but the discipline is the same. When a stopped line costs more per hour than the truck costs in total, what matters is a committed delivery time that holds. Dispatch confirms the profile, equipment, and commitment before acceptance — qualified hazmat is reviewed case by case — and every accepted shipment to date has delivered on time. Pharma moves on dedicated dry vehicles; BEExpedite does not run refrigerated equipment, so temperature-controlled packaging stays on the shipper’s side of the plan.
